Akwa Ibom State is a fertile powerhouse, rich in palm oil production, vast timber reserves, and a thriving coastal fishing industry. From the palm plantations of Abak and the rice fields of Ini to the massive fish landings in Ibeno, Oron, and Mbo, agriculture is the backbone of the "Land of Promise." To transition from a "local farmer" to a Registered Agribusiness Enterprise, obtaining your CAC certificate is the critical step for securing government fertilizer subsidies, exporting your produce, and accessing multi-million Naira agricultural grants and loans.
In an industry where food security and industrial raw materials are the priority, registration is your gateway to the formal economy. Whether you are into crop farming in Etinan, timber logging in Ibiono-Ibom, or deep-sea fishing in Eastern Obolo, your business needs a formal identity. Most food processing companies, international agricultural donors, and the Ministry of Agriculture will only sign "Off-taker Agreements" or supply input materials to businesses processed through the Corporate Affairs Commission.
