Akwa Ibom State is becoming a premier destination for sports and wellness in Nigeria, anchored by the world-class Godswill Akpabio International Stadium (The Nest of Champions) in Uyo. From the rising popularity of community fitness marathons to the growth of private executive gyms in Eket, the sports industry is a key part of the state’s "Arise Agenda" for human capital development. To transition from a "fitness trainer" or "local scout" to a Registered Sports Management Firm, obtaining your CAC certificate is the mandatory step for securing stadium branding rights, importing professional gym machinery, and managing professional athletes.
In an industry where physical excellence and corporate credibility are intertwined, registration is your brand’s "Professional Badge." Whether you are a sports promoter organizing tournaments in Uyo, a supplier of high-end gym equipment in Ikot Ekpene, or a fitness consultant in Eket, your business needs a legal identity. Most corporate sponsors, international sports agencies, and government ministries will only sign "Sponsorship Agreements" or authorize equipment procurement for businesses that have been processed through the Corporate Affairs Commission.
