Years spent in lecture halls, wards and theatres teach you medicine, not corporate filing. If you are a doctor, nurse, midwife or investor setting up a hospital, clinic or nursing home in Kwara State, Onelove Business Ventures can take the CAC side off your plate. We are an accredited CAC agent and we handle the registration from the first name search to the finished certificate, so your attention can stay on the facility and its patients.

Inside the ₦35,500
A Kwara hospital, clinic or nursing home can be registered as a Business Name for ₦35,500, all-inclusive. The CAC government fee and our service fee are both already in that figure, so there is no extra billing later. (A Limited Liability Company is available at ₦65,500, also all-inclusive.)
- Business name availability search
- Business name reservation
- Completion and submission of the CAC Business Name application
- CAC government filing/processing fee
- Your Certificate of Registration (soft copy)
- Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- A CAC Status Report confirming your business is active on the public register
Message your business name to us on WhatsApp; the paperwork from there to the certificate is our job.
Approvals and Costs Outside This Registration
CAC registration establishes your business name. Running a health facility involves further approvals that are separate from it:
- Printed copies of your certificate (it arrives as a soft copy; print it locally whenever you like)
- Registration or licensing of your facility with the Kwara State Ministry of Health, and any inspections that go with it
- Practising licences for doctors, nurses and midwives, issued by their professional councils (MDCN for doctors, NMCN for nurses and midwives)
- Pharmacy premises licensing through the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria if your facility runs a dispensary
- Medical laboratory approval through the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria if you operate a lab
- Empanelment as a provider under the Kwara State Health Insurance Agency, which has its own assessment process
- Equipment, premises fit-out and waste-disposal arrangements
- Opening a business bank account, done with your chosen bank once the certificate is in hand
- Annual returns in later years, a short, separate step we can also help with
Business Name vs. Limited Liability Company for a Health Facility
| Business Name | Limited Liability Company | |
|---|---|---|
| All-inclusive cost | ₦35,500 | ₦65,500 |
| Personal liability protection | No | Yes |
| Documents received | Certificate + Status Report + TIN | Certificate + Status Report + Memart + TIN |
| Best for | Solo practitioners and small clinics, maternity homes and care homes | Larger hospitals, facilities with several owners, or those seeking outside investment |
A Business Name gives your facility a registered identity and is a common starting point for individual practitioners and small clinics. A Limited Liability Company is worth considering for a larger hospital, a facility with several owners or investors, or any operation where you want your personal assets kept separate from the business. Many owners begin with a Business Name and convert later as the facility grows.
Why Kwara’s Health Insurance Law Matters to Facility Owners
The Kwara State Health Insurance Scheme was created by law on 15 November 2017 to provide mandatory health insurance coverage for residents, including formal and informal sector workers as well as vulnerable groups. It is run by the Kwara State Health Insurance Agency (KWHIA), which purchases services from both government and private hospitals empanelled in each LGA. The agency says it uses an assessment and accreditation process before it empanels a facility, and it has been setting up regional offices, with Kaiama, Baruten, Edu, Offa and Irepodun named as planned locations. For a private facility owner, that means an organised route to insured patients exists, but it comes with its own requirements. Ask KWHIA directly for its current empanelment criteria before you apply, since they are separate from CAC registration and may change.
Your Training, Our Paperwork
Triage, diagnosis, bedside manner, a night shift that runs long: that is the work you trained for, and no registration agent can do it. What a CAC certificate adds is administrative credibility around the clinical work. Patients, medical-supply vendors, landlords and banks may all want to know a registered business stands behind the facility’s name, and a certificate on file saves you from answering that question repeatedly. We deal with the filing so that your time goes where your qualifications are needed.

Questions Kwara Healthcare Owners Ask
How much does CAC registration cost for a hospital, clinic or nursing home in Kwara State? ₦35,500 all-inclusive for a Business Name, the same in every Kwara LGA. A Limited Liability Company is ₦65,500 all-inclusive.
What is included, and how long does it take? The name search and reservation, the completed CAC application, the government fee, your Certificate of Registration, a TIN and a CAC Status Report. It usually takes 5–7 working days, and the soft copy reaches you on WhatsApp.
Is a Business Name enough for a clinic or nursing home? For many small facilities, yes, as it gives your facility a registered name to operate under. Larger hospitals and multi-owner facilities often consider a Limited Liability Company instead.
Business Name or Limited Liability Company, which should I choose? A Business Name suits solo practitioners and small clinics. Consider an LLC for a larger facility, several owners, outside investment or personal liability protection. You can convert later if you start with a Business Name.
Does CAC registration replace Ministry of Health approval or professional licences? No. CAC registers your business name. Facility approval, practitioner licences and any pharmacy or laboratory permits are separate and handled by the relevant bodies.
I’m planning to open a clinic. Can I register before everything else is ready? Registering the name is a separate step from facility approvals, and many owners complete it early. You will need a business address in Kwara State to file.
Will the certificate help with health insurance empanelment or a bank account? A CAC certificate is one of the main documents banks ask for when opening a business account. Health insurance empanelment has its own requirements, so check the agency’s current criteria.
Do you only register facilities in Ilorin? No. We register healthcare businesses in all 16 Kwara LGAs, at the same price and turnaround time.
What if my preferred name is already taken? Send a second or third option and we’ll check it straight away. A few alternatives ready in advance keeps things moving.
