A clinic, maternity home or nursing home is built on trust: patients, families, referring doctors and suppliers all want to know exactly who is behind the door. The Full Breakdown of Your ₦35,500

You pay ₦35,500 once for a health or care business in Niger State, and CAC’s filing fee and our service fee are both inside it. Nothing is added later. If you’d prefer to begin as a company, a Limited Liability Company is ₦65,500, also all-inclusive.

Separate From This Registration

A CAC certificate gives your business its legal name. It does not authorise you to treat patients. These approvals and registrations come from the health regulators and are handled outside our service:

Best forSingle-owner clinics, maternity homes and care homes starting outLarger hospitals, facilities with several owners or investors, and ventures planning to expand

A Business Name is often enough for a clinic or care home run by one owner or a small family. It gives you a legal name for invoices, supplier accounts and a bank account. Health facilities often have several owners, large equipment costs and the risk that comes with caring for patients, so a Limited Liability Company is worth serious thought once you have partners, investors or a larger building, since the business then stands apart from your personal assets. Many owners start with a Business Name and convert as the facility grows.

What to Have on Hand

  1. Two proposed business names, ranked by preference
  2. A valid means of ID: National ID (NIN), international passport, or driver’s license
  3. A passport photograph
  4. Your business address in Niger State, with the LGA
  5. A phone number and an email address
  6. Nature of business, described plainly, such as “private hospital and maternity services” or “clinic and nursing home care”
  7. If you choose a Limited Liability Company: names, ID and details of the directors and shareholders

How We Get You Registered

  1. We check the name on CAC’s public search portal.
  2. We reserve it as soon as it’s confirmed available.
  3. We complete the application with your business, owner and Niger State address details.
  4. You send your ID and passport photograph. A phone picture is fine.
  5. You make the ₦35,500 payment, one amount covering everything above.
  6. Your Certificate of Registration, TIN and Status Report arrive, usually within 5–7 working days.

Six steps, and only two of them involve you — everything else runs on our end.

Niger State’s Private Health Facilities Agency, and Where CAC Fits

Niger State now has a dedicated regulator for private healthcare. The Niger State Private Health Facilities Agency (NISPHFA) is mandated to register, regulate, monitor and evaluate private health facilities in the state. The agency’s officials have said it has developed registration guidelines covering 20 categories of private facilities, launched a digital registration portal, and engaged more than 1,000 facilities across the state’s 25 local government areas. The governor has noted that the agency’s enabling law was enacted in 2025.

The agency also enforces. In September 2026, news reports described NISPHFA sealing a health facility in Katcha LGA and 12 unregistered Islamic medicine stores in Minna for non-compliance, and warning operators to register. Requirements and categories can change, so check with the agency for what applies to your facility.

For an owner, the order of work is straightforward. CAC registration gives your clinic, hospital or care home a legal business name, and the health-sector approvals above are then sought for that business and its premises. CAC registration doesn’t replace the agency’s registration or license any practitioner to treat patients.

Locations We Cover in Niger State

The price, requirements and turnaround are the same wherever your facility is. We register health and care businesses in every location below, and you can search for yours alphabetically:

Many facilities, especially clinics and maternity homes, serve communities that are a long way from the capital. If your facility is anywhere in Niger State, you can register without leaving it, since everything is handled on your phone.

A Health Facility Doesn’t Get to Pause

Patients arrive when they arrive. A delivery runs through the night, a ward round starts at dawn, a supplier’s invoice sits on the desk, the generator needs fuel and the staff rota has a gap on Saturday. In that world, the registration paperwork is the easiest thing to push to next week, and next week is just as busy. It’s far better to hand it over and get on with patient care. When the certificate arrives, your facility has a registered name to put on invoices, supplier accounts, staff contracts and bank paperwork, and a starting point for the regulator approvals that follow.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does CAC registration cost for a hospital, clinic or nursing home in Niger State? ₦35,500 all-inclusive for a Business Name, wherever in the state your facility is. A Limited Liability Company is ₦65,500, also all-inclusive.

What does the ₦35,500 cover? The name search and reservation, the completed CAC application, the government filing fee, your Certificate of Registration (soft copy), your TIN and a CAC Status Report.

Can a single doctor’s clinic register? Yes. A one-doctor clinic and a larger facility are registered in the same way. You need a business address in Niger State and its LGA.

Do maternity homes and nursing homes register the same way? Yes. The price, documents and process are identical. Describe the nature of business as, for example, maternity services or nursing home care.

Does CAC registration let me open and run a hospital? No. CAC registration gives you a legal business name. Operating a health facility needs the approvals of the health regulators.

What is NISPHFA, and do I need to register with it? It is the Niger State Private Health Facilities Agency, mandated to register and regulate private health facilities in the state. Requirements for your type of facility are set by the agency, so check with it directly. It is separate from CAC.

Do my doctors and nurses need their own registrations? Practitioners are registered and licensed individually by bodies such as MDCN and NMCN. That is separate from the business registration.

Do I need to be a medical professional to register a clinic business name? CAC registration itself is a business filing. Running a health facility is subject to professional and facility rules, so check the regulators’ requirements before you start.

Is a Business Name enough for a clinic? For many owner-run clinics and care homes, yes. A Limited Liability Company is worth considering if you have partners, plan a larger building, or want the business separate from your personal assets.

Several of us are starting a hospital together. Which structure suits us? Shared ownership is a common reason to choose a Limited Liability Company. Tell us how many owners there are and we’ll advise.

Can I register a clinic and a nursing home under one name? Yes. Describe the nature of business broadly, such as “clinic and nursing home care”. Each facility may still need its own health-sector approvals.

Can a home-care or visiting-nurse service register? Yes. Describe the nature of business as home-care or nursing services and we’ll file it that way.

What about an X-ray unit, a laboratory or a pharmacy inside my facility? Those have their own approvals and licences, separate from CAC and from the facility registration.

Will the certificate help with health insurance schemes or company retainerships? Schemes and companies often ask for proof of registration, so the certificate is a useful document to have. Accreditation is done by the scheme itself, and the certificate doesn’t guarantee it.

Can the certificate help with equipment suppliers or financing? Suppliers and lenders commonly ask for registered-business documents. Terms and approvals are theirs to decide.

Do you register facilities outside Minna and Suleja? Yes. We cover all of Niger State, from Borgu and Kontagora to Bida and Mokwa, at the same price and turnaround.

Can I open a business bank account with the certificate? Yes. A CAC certificate is one of the main documents banks ask for, together with your ID and other details.

Is the TIN included? Yes. A Tax Identification Number comes with the ₦35,500.

Do I need to file anything with CAC in later years? Registered businesses file annual returns. It’s a small, separate step, and we can help when it’s due.

What if my first-choice business name is already taken? Send a second or third name and we’ll check them straight away. Having backups ready keeps things moving.

Can I switch from a Business Name to a Limited Liability Company later? Yes. Many facilities start with a Business Name and convert as the building, staff and ownership grow. We can help with the conversion.

When does it make sense to start with a Limited Liability Company? If you’re building a larger hospital, sharing ownership, or an investor wants a company structure, the company route is worth considering from day one.

I haven’t secured a building yet. Can I still register? You need a business address in Niger State, including the LGA, for the application. If you’re still arranging premises, send the address you plan to use.
