Window frames, sliding doors, shopfronts, office partitions, shower screens and glass tops all start with the same unglamorous step: someone has to measure, cut and fit them, and then send an invoice under a business name the client recognises. If you run an aluminium and glass workshop anywhere in Ogun State, Onelove Business Ventures can register that name with CAC on your behalf. We are an accredited CAC agent. We handle the name search, the filing and the certificate, so you can get back to the cutting table. Send your business name on WhatsApp and consider it handled — that’s genuinely the extent of what’s asked of you.

Business Name or Limited Liability Company?
| Business Name | Limited Liability Company | |
|---|---|---|
| All-inclusive cost | ₦35,500 | ₦65,500 |
| Personal liability protection | No | Yes |
| Documents received | Certificate + Status Report + TIN | Certificate + Status Report + Memart + TIN |
| Usually chosen by | Workshop owners, fabricators and installers working for themselves | Larger fabrication firms, partners, and businesses chasing big building contracts |
If you run the workshop yourself and mostly need a legal name for quotations, invoices and a bank account, a Business Name is often sufficient. A Limited Liability Company starts to earn its cost when you bring in a partner, take on large building or estate contracts, or want the business separated from your personal assets. Plenty of fabricators start with a Business Name and upgrade later.
Ogun’s Metal and Glass Industry Is on Your Doorstep
Ogun State hosts some of the country’s heavier metal and glass production. Beta Glass operates one of its two main plants at Agbara, and a 2024 BusinessDay report described an upgrade to the Agbara furnace, which the company said would add 30 tonnes of output. That plant makes bottles and jars, not window glass, so it isn’t a supplier to your workshop. It does show how much glass-making sits in the state. In Ota, directory listings place aluminium rolling mills, including Tower Aluminium Rolling Mills, on the Ota Industrial Estate along Idiroko Road. These mills make sheet and coil, which are different products from the extruded profiles that go into window frames.
None of this decides where your own materials should come from, and we make no claim about any supplier. The relevance is simpler. Aluminium and glass work in Ogun is done in the shadow of real manufacturing, and the people who buy from you, such as developers, contractors, estate managers and shop owners, are used to dealing with registered businesses. A registered name on your quotation helps you look like one.
Measure Twice, Cut Once, and Register Once
Fabricating is work that punishes carelessness. A frame that is two millimetres off won’t sit square, a pane that cracks in transit costs real money, and a client who is told the job will finish Friday remembers it on Monday. You spend your days at the cutting table, on a ladder at the client’s site, or arguing with a delivery truck about where the glass sheets go. The registration is the one job on your list that has nothing to do with your skill, and we can take it away from you completely, so your quotations and receipts carry a business name from the first job you sign.

This Might Be a Great Fit If…
Different business owners want different things from an agent — this is who we serve best:
- You’re at the cutting table, up a ladder on a client’s site, or waiting on a glass delivery when most office-hours calls come in — CAC’s portal doesn’t fit between those jobs.
- You’re aiming for bigger work — estate window packages, shopfitting for a chain, partition contracts for offices, or a second workshop in Sagamu or Ota — and need a registered name quotations can carry.
- You value a straight answer over a sales pitch — if a Business Name is enough for where you are, we’ll tell you that, not upsell you into the LLC.
- You want things kept simple — your details, one payment, your certificate.
If that sounds like you, send your business name and we’ll get started.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to register my aluminium and glass workshop with CAC? If you trade under a name other than your own, registering it is the standard route. Clients, suppliers and banks commonly ask to see the certificate.
How much does it cost to register an aluminium works business in Ogun State? ₦35,500 all-inclusive for a Business Name, wherever in the state you work. A Limited Liability Company costs ₦65,500, also all-inclusive.
What comes with the ₦35,500? The name search and reservation, the completed CAC application, the government filing fee, your Certificate of Registration (soft copy), a TIN and a CAC Status Report.
Is a Business Name enough for a window and door fabricator? For an owner-run workshop, usually yes. If you have partners or want to chase large contracts, a Limited Liability Company may fit better, and we’ll say which.
How do I describe my business on the application? Keep it plain and broad, for example “aluminium and glass works” or “fabrication and installation of aluminium windows, doors, partitions and glass”. That covers the full range of what you do.
Can I register glazing and aluminium roofing under the same name? Yes. One registration covers the business as a whole, so you can list windows, glass, roofing and cladding together.
Does CAC registration cover SON product standards? No. Standards certification is a separate process handled by the Standards Organisation of Nigeria, and it applies mainly if you manufacture products.
Do I need approvals to fit windows and glass in buildings? CAC registration doesn’t include any approval for building work. Developers or building owners may set their own requirements for the contractors they use.
What about permits for my workshop premises? Planning approvals, signage permits and local levies come from your state or local authorities. They are separate from CAC.
I import profiles, glass or machines. Is that covered? No. Customs clearance and duties are separate. The registration gives you the legal business name to import under.
Will the certificate help me bid for contracts from developers or estates? Many developers and managers want proof of registration before they work with a contractor, so the certificate is useful. It doesn’t guarantee that you’ll win any job.
Can it help me buy materials on credit? Suppliers sometimes ask for proof of registration before extending credit terms. The certificate supports that request, but credit is the supplier’s decision.
My workshop is a roadside shed. What address do I give? Use the address where the workshop operates, with the LGA. If you are still looking for a location, send the address you plan to use.
Is the TIN included? Yes. The Tax Identification Number comes with the ₦35,500.
I sell aluminium profiles and glass sheets, not just fabricate. Can I register that? Yes. Describe the nature of business as sale and supply of aluminium and glass materials, with or without fabrication.
Can I run more than one workshop or site under one registration? The registration covers the business as a whole. Premises permits and local levies are dealt with for each location separately.
I’m starting with a partner. How should we register, and can I upgrade later? A Limited Liability Company is normally the cleaner structure for co-owners. If you begin with a Business Name, you can convert later, and we can assist.
What if my chosen name is taken? Send us a backup name or two and we’ll check them quickly. Having alternatives ready saves time.
Is there anything to file after the first year? Yes, registered businesses must file annual returns. We can handle that when it’s due.
I don’t have a workshop yet. Can I register first? You’ll need a business address and the LGA for the application. If you’re still arranging premises, send the address you intend to use.
Do you register businesses outside Ota, Sagamu and Abeokuta? Yes. We cover all of Ogun State, from Ipokia and Imeko Afon to Ijebu Ode and Ogun Waterside, at the same price and timeline.
