Whether you run a one-bay workshop, a roadside auto-electrical stall or a tow truck that answers calls at all hours, trading under a registered name is the paperwork step that makes everything else easier: job cards and receipts with a real business name on them, quotations for fleet clients, a business bank account, and a workshop customers can trace. Onelove Business Ventures is an accredited CAC agent, and we handle the name search, the filing and the certificate for mechanics and towing operators wherever they work in Osun State. A Business Name is ₦35,500 all-inclusive and a Limited Liability Company is ₦65,500 all-inclusive, with nothing added later. There’s no extra step hiding behind this: message us your business name, and we take it from there.

Separate From This Registration
- Printed copies of your certificate. You receive a soft copy on WhatsApp and can print it locally whenever you like.
- Rules for towing and recovery work and for road use. The Federal Road Safety Corps and the state’s own agencies set these, so ask them for the current requirements before you put a tow truck on the road.
- Vehicle papers and tax for your own service vehicles, such as a tow truck, a pickup or a mobile workshop van, handled through the usual vehicle registration and state revenue channels.
- Standards and customs matters for what you stock or import, including parts, tyres, batteries, lifts, scanners and recovery equipment.
- Environmental rules for used engine oil, old batteries, coolant, paint and solvent waste, which apply to the workshop itself.
- Premises approvals, local government permits, levies and signage for your workshop, yard or garage.
- Fire, electrical and workshop-safety precautions for compressors, welding sets, spray booths, jacks and fuel storage.
- Insurance, including cover for customers’ vehicles while they are in your care and for your own tow truck.
- Vendor registration with fleet owners, transport companies or organisations that want to place you on their approved list.
- State and federal tax obligations that apply to your business
- Opening a business bank account, done with your chosen bank once the certificate is in your hands
- Annual returns in future years, a small separate step we can also help with when the time comes
Business Name or Limited Liability Company: Which Fits a Garage?
| Business Name | Limited Liability Company | |
|---|---|---|
| All-inclusive cost | ₦35,500 | ₦65,500 |
| Separates your assets from the business | No | Yes |
| Documents you receive | Certificate + Status Report + TIN | Certificate + Status Report + Memart + TIN |
| Suits | Owner-run workshops, solo mechanics and one-truck towing operators | Larger garages, multi-truck recovery fleets, and businesses with partners or investors |
For most owner-run workshops, a Business Name does the job: it gives you a legal name for receipts, a bank account and customer paperwork. A company becomes worth considering when you add several tow trucks, bring in a partner, or take on fleet clients who prefer dealing with a company. Plenty of mechanics begin with a Business Name and upgrade once the workshop outgrows it.
What to Have on Hand
- Two business names you would like, in order of preference
- A valid ID: National ID (NIN), international passport or driver’s licence
- A passport photograph
- Your business address and its LGA: the workshop, garage or yard in Osun State
- A phone number and an email address
- What the business does, in plain words, for example “auto mechanic services and vehicle towing” or “auto electrical repairs and roadside assistance”
- If you choose a Limited Liability Company: names, ID and details of the directors and shareholders
How We Get You Registered
- We check that your name is available on CAC’s public search portal.
- We reserve it as soon as it clears.
- We complete your application with your business, owner and Osun address details.
- You upload your ID and passport photograph. A clear phone photo is enough.
- You make one payment of ₦35,500, which covers everything listed above.
- Your Certificate of Registration, TIN and Status Report arrive, usually within 5–7 working days.
Beyond that first message and a single payment, there’s nothing left for you to chase up.
Osun’s Roads, Road Safety Patrols and Where Your Registered Name Fits
Repair and recovery work in Osun happens alongside a visible road-safety presence. The Federal Road Safety Corps’ Gbongan unit command reported in September 2026 that crashes in its area fell by 25 per cent between January and August compared with the same months of 2025, with fatalities down 83.3 per cent and injuries down 40 per cent. The unit put its activity at 468 patrol operations, eight of them special intervention patrols carried out with the Joint Task Force. Earlier, in 2025, the Corps’ Osun Sector Command gave owners of unregistered vehicles, including those running on fake or dealer number plates, a two-week deadline to comply. It said a joint enforcement operation with the Osun State Board of Internal Revenue would follow, aimed at Osogbo and its surroundings, and it extended special intervention patrols to routes such as the East and West Bypass in Osogbo.
For a workshop, that climate means customers pay more attention to vehicle papers, roadworthiness and a repairer they can find again. For a towing operator, it is a reminder that crash scenes on Osun highways are often handled first by the Corps’ own patrol teams. A January 2023 report on the Gbongan–Osogbo highway, for instance, described the Corps clearing traffic by towing a damaged car away itself. Your CAC registration gives the business a legal name and identity. It is not a roadworthiness certificate, a vehicle licence or permission to recover vehicles at accident scenes, and those matters stay with the FRSC and the relevant state agencies.
Mechanics and Towing Operators We Register Across Osun
The price, requirements and turnaround are the same wherever your workshop or truck is based. We register mechanic and towing businesses across Osun, including in the areas below. The list mixes local government areas with larger towns.
Osogbo and the capital belt
- Osogbo and Olorunda — workshops, panel beaters and tyre shops serving the capital’s busy roads and bypass traffic
- Irepodun, Ilobu and Egbedore — repair yards and roadside mechanics on the roads feeding into the capital
Ife and Modakeke
- Ife Central, Ife East, Ife North and Ife South — garages serving a university town’s staff, students and daily commuters
- Modakeke — mechanics and auto electricians keeping local transport and traders’ vehicles running
Ilesa and the eastern towns
- Ilesa East and Ilesa West — mechanics, panel beaters and recovery operators in a major town on the Ife–Ilesa road
- Atakunmosa East, Atakunmosa West and Obokun — garages and roadside repairers serving farm trucks and passenger buses
- Oriade and Ijebu-Jesa — workshops and tyre shops in smaller eastern towns

Other towns across the state
- Oke Mesi and Oyan — workshops and mobile mechanics wherever your customers are
If your workshop or tow truck is anywhere in Osun State, you’re covered.
Your Hands Are Full of Engine; the Paperwork Shouldn’t Be
A workshop day rarely follows the plan. A customer wants the car back by evening, a part has to be fetched across town, a scan turns up a second fault, and a tow call arrives just as you are locking up. What you carry in your hands and your ear for an engine is what people pay for, and no CAC portal asks for either. Registering the business name needs only a name, an ID and one payment. Pass it to us, and you are left with a registered name for your job cards, receipts, fleet quotations and bank paperwork.
A Good Match If…
We’re not the right fit for everyone, and we’d rather say so — here’s who usually benefits most from working with us:
- You’d rather not wrestle CAC’s portal between a half-stripped engine on the bay floor, a customer asking for his car by evening and a tow call that comes in after dark.
- You’re building toward more than one bay — fleet servicing for transport owners, a recovery truck of your own, or a second workshop in another Osun town — and you want a registered name to grow under.
- You want a recommendation that fits your size — not the biggest package by default.
- You want a process without back-and-forth — send your details once, pay once, and there are no surprise charges afterwards.
If this describes you, we’d be glad to take the paperwork off your hands.
Questions Osun Mechanics and Tow Operators Ask Us
How much does CAC registration cost for an auto mechanic or towing business in Osun State? ₦35,500 all-inclusive for a Business Name, the same wherever in Osun your workshop or truck is based. A Limited Liability Company is ₦65,500 all-inclusive.
What do I get for the ₦35,500? The name search and reservation, the completed CAC filing, the government fee, your Certificate of Registration (soft copy), a TIN and a CAC Status Report.
Is a Business Name enough for a workshop or a one-truck towing service? For most owner-run operations, yes. It gives you the registered name you need for receipts, a bank account and customer paperwork. If you plan to add trucks, bring in partners or serve larger fleet clients, the company route is worth a look.
Does CAC registration give me permission to tow vehicles or run a recovery service? No. It gives your business a legal name and registration. Rules for towing, recovery vehicles and road use sit with the FRSC and the state’s own agencies, so confirm the current requirements with them.
I’m a mobile mechanic and don’t have a fixed workshop. Can I still register? Yes, but the application needs a business address in Osun State and its LGA. Use the address you operate from or the one you plan to use, and tell us if you work from different spots.
Can I register mechanic work and towing under one business name? Yes. Describe the nature of business broadly, for example “auto mechanic services and vehicle towing”. Any approvals your towing or workshop activities need are handled separately.
Do auto electricians, panel beaters, vulcanisers and motorcycle mechanics register the same way? Yes. The price, requirements and turnaround are the same for every vehicle-related trade, and we describe your particular trade in the application.
Will a CAC certificate help me win fleet or company work? Transport firms and organisations often ask for proof of registration before they deal with a repairer, so the certificate is a useful document to have. It does not guarantee any contract, and some clients have their own vendor registration steps.
Can I open a business bank account with the certificate? Yes. A CAC certificate is one of the main documents banks ask for when opening a business account, along with your ID and other details.
Is the TIN included, and do I have anything to file with CAC later? The TIN is part of what you receive for the ₦35,500. Registered businesses also have annual returns to file in future years, a small separate step we can help with when the time comes.
What if my proposed business name isn’t available? Send a backup name and we’ll check it right away. Having two or three options ready keeps things moving.
Can I upgrade from a Business Name to a Limited Liability Company later, and when should I start with a company? Yes, many workshops begin with a Business Name and convert as they grow, and we can assist with the conversion. Starting as a company makes sense if you already have partners, an investor who requires it, or a recovery fleet in view.
