Here’s Exactly What You’re Paying For

The ₦35,500 is paid once. CAC’s fee and ours are both inside it, and no extra charge turns up later. If you would rather begin as a company, the Limited Liability Company option costs ₦65,500, also all-inclusive.

Outside the Scope of This Registration

Registration gives your facility its legal name. The items below are separate steps that sit with other bodies, or with you:

Business Name or Limited Liability Company?

Business NameLimited Liability Company
All-inclusive cost₦35,500₦65,500
Personal liability protectionNoYes
Documents receivedCertificate + Status Report + TINCertificate + Status Report + Memart + TIN
Best forOwner-run clinics, maternity homes and small private hospitalsLarger hospitals, multi-doctor practices, and facilities with partners or investors

For a single-owner clinic or maternity home, a Business Name usually gives you what you need: a legal name for your patient receipts, supplier invoices and bank account. A Limited Liability Company becomes the more sensible route when several doctors share ownership, when outside money is coming in, or when you are building something bigger than one site, because the business then becomes its own legal person, separate from you. Plenty of facility owners start with a Business Name and convert later.

Before You Reach Out

  1. Two proposed business names, in order of preference
  2. A valid form of ID — National ID (NIN), international passport or driver’s licence
  3. One passport photograph
  4. Your facility’s address in Nasarawa State, including the LGA
  5. A phone number and email address
  6. A short description of what the business does — for instance, “private clinic and maternity services” or “nursing home and home-care services”
  7. If you choose a Limited Liability Company instead: the names, IDs and details of the directors and shareholders

From Message to Certificate

  1. We search CAC’s register to see whether your first-choice name is available.
  2. We reserve the name as soon as it checks out.
  3. We complete the application using your business and address details.
  4. You send your ID and passport photograph — a clear phone photo works.
  5. You make one payment of ₦35,500, which covers everything listed above.
  6. Your Certificate of Registration, TIN and Status Report arrive, typically within 5–7 working days.

Six steps, and only two of them involve you — everything else runs on our end.

Health Insurance in Nasarawa: Where Your Facility Fits

Nasarawa’s state health insurance scheme is one of the biggest reasons a new facility owner needs to understand the paperwork early. The Nasarawa State Health Insurance Agency (NASHIA) has reported 351,610 residents enrolled, with care delivered through 268 healthcare facilities spread across the state’s 147 electoral wards. Enrollees choose a nearby primary facility as their first point of contact, and that facility can be public or private. Cases that need more are referred on to secondary facilities such as general and specialist hospitals, and the agency’s own provider list includes Dalhatu Araf Specialist Hospital in Lafia. The state also sponsors vulnerable groups, including pregnant women and children under five, so they can enrol without paying premiums.

A facility takes part in the scheme by being accredited, and accreditation is its own process with its own checklist. CAC registration is not the same thing as accreditation, and it does not guarantee you a place on any provider list. What it does give you is a legal business name, a TIN and a status report, which are the kind of identity documents an application like that is commonly built on. Ask NASHIA for its current accreditation requirements before you apply, and register the name first so the rest of your paperwork carries the right one.

Registering Health Facilities Across Nasarawa State’s 13 LGAs

Wherever your facility sits in the state, the fee, the requirements and the turnaround stay exactly the same. These are the 13 LGAs we cover, grouped by senatorial zone.

Nasarawa North

Nasarawa West

Nasarawa South

If your facility is in any of these LGAs, the same one-message process applies.

Care Doesn’t Pause for Paperwork

A health facility runs on things patients feel straight away: a nurse who answers at 3 a.m., a generator that holds through a night delivery, stock that has not run out before the weekend, and a doctor who has time to explain. Between ward rounds, antenatal clinic days, shift handovers and calls from relatives, there is rarely a quiet hour to work through a government portal. Registering the business name is the one item on that list we can lift off your desk completely. Once it is done, your facility has a recognised name that appears on patient receipts, supplier invoices and bank paperwork.

Is This Right for Your Business?

Different business owners want different things from an agent — this is who we serve best:

If that sounds like you, send your business name and we’ll get started.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does CAC registration cost for a hospital or clinic in Nasarawa State? ₦35,500 all-inclusive for a Business Name, whichever of the 13 LGAs your facility is in. A Limited Liability Company is ₦65,500 all-inclusive.

What comes with the ₦35,500? The name search and reservation, the completed CAC filing, CAC’s government fee, your Certificate of Registration (soft copy), a TIN and a CAC Status Report.

Is a Business Name enough for a clinic, maternity home or small hospital? For most owner-run facilities, yes. It gives you the legal name and registration to begin with. If several doctors share ownership or investors are involved, a Limited Liability Company may suit you better from the start.

Does CAC registration allow me to start treating patients? No. It gives your facility a legal identity. You still need the state’s operating approval for the premises and the professional licences for your clinical staff.

Do I need CAC registration to join the Nasarawa health insurance scheme? The scheme accredits facilities through its own process, so ask NASHIA for its current checklist. A registered business name, TIN and status report are the kind of documents applications are commonly built on, but CAC registration alone does not accredit you.

Which professional bodies do I deal with separately? Doctors and dentists answer to MDCN, nurses and midwives to NMCN, laboratory scientists to MLSCN and pharmacists to PCN. Imaging equipment that uses radiation may also need NNRA authorisation.

Can a nursing home or maternity home register the same way? Yes. Nursing homes, maternity homes, clinics and hospitals all follow the same registration process, at the same price and turnaround.

Can I put a clinic and a lab or pharmacy under one name? You can describe the business broadly. A pharmacy or laboratory on your premises still needs its own professional approvals, handled separately from CAC.

Do you register facilities outside Lafia, Karu and Keffi? Yes. We cover all 13 LGAs, from Akwanga and Wamba in the north to Obi and Awe in the south, at the same price and turnaround.

I haven’t secured my premises yet. Can I still register? You need a business address in Nasarawa State and its LGA for the application. If you are still arranging premises, send the address you plan to use.

What if my first-choice name isn’t available? Send a backup and we’ll check it straight away. Having two or three options ready keeps things moving.

Can I switch from a Business Name to a Limited Liability Company later? Yes. Many facility owners start with a Business Name and convert when the practice grows or partners join. We can assist with the conversion.
