Moving people, produce and parcels is a business that runs on trust: customers hand over their goods, and they want to know who they are dealing with. Onelove Business Ventures, an accredited CAC agent, registers haulage operators, bus and tricycle owners, dispatch riders and courier businesses across Zamfara State. A Business Name costs ₦35,500 all-inclusive and a Limited Liability Company costs ₦65,500 all-inclusive, with the CAC filing fee and our service fee both built into those figures. What Your ₦35,500 Covers
You make one payment of ₦35,500, and it covers all of the following for your Zamfara transport or logistics business:
- A check on whether your chosen business name is available
- Reservation of the name once it is cleared
- Completion and submission of your CAC Business Name application
- CAC’s government filing and processing fee
- Your Certificate of Registration (soft copy)
- Your Tax Identification Number (TIN)
- A CAC Status Report showing that your business is active on the public register
If you would rather register as a company, the same ground is covered at ₦65,500 all-inclusive, with a Memart added to the documents you receive.
What Falls Outside This Registration
CAC registration gives your business a legal name. The items below come from other bodies and are arranged separately:
- Printed copies of your certificate. You receive a soft copy and print it locally.
- Vehicle registration, plate numbers, roadworthiness checks and drivers’ licences, which are handled through the vehicle licensing and road-safety authorities, not CAC.
- Union membership and park dues, if you operate through a transport union or a motor park. Those arrangements are between you and the union or the park.
- Local government levies and any state permit for commercial vehicles, tricycles or motorcycles. Ask your LGA office and the state transport authorities what applies to you.
- A courier licence from the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST), if you run a courier or parcel-delivery business.
- Insurance, including the third-party cover required for vehicles and any goods-in-transit cover your customers expect.
- Approvals for carrying regulated goods such as fuel, which have their own requirements.
- Tax obligations that apply to transport and logistics businesses, at state and federal level.
- Opening a business bank account, done with your chosen bank once your certificate is ready.
- Annual returns in later years, a small, separate step we can also handle for you.
Business Name or Limited Liability Company?
| Business Name | Limited Liability Company | |
|---|---|---|
| All-inclusive cost | ₦35,500 | ₦65,500 |
| Personal liability protection | No | Yes |
| Documents received | Certificate + Status Report + TIN | Certificate + Status Report + Memart + TIN |
| Best for | Owner-drivers, small fleets, dispatch riders and local couriers | Growing fleets, firms with partners and businesses chasing corporate contracts |
If you run one vehicle or a handful, a Business Name usually covers what you need: a legal name for invoices, customer agreements and banking. Transport is a business where one accident, one lost consignment or one disputed payment can become a serious problem, so a Limited Liability Company is worth considering once the fleet grows, partners join, or you want the business kept apart from your personal assets.
Zamfara’s Transport Rules and the NURTW Bus Loan Scheme
Two public developments are worth knowing if you operate in Zamfara. The first is the state’s restriction on motorcycles. Governor Dauda Lawal signed Executive Order No. 07 of 2024, which restricted motorcycle movement in the state between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. as part of the state security council’s response to banditry, and authorised the Attorney General to prosecute offenders. For dispatch riders and motorcycle-based delivery businesses, the hours you can legally operate matter. Orders like this can be amended, so check the current position with the state authorities before planning routes and schedules.
The second is on the passenger side. Reports in July 2026 said the governor provided 50 new buses to the Zamfara chapter of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) as a loan under the Zamfara State Loan Scheme. Each vehicle was costed at ₦27,390,000 with a 20 per cent subsidy of ₦5,478,000, and the union was to take part in identifying and supervising members’ vehicles and in repayments. That scheme sets its own eligibility, and CAC registration does not qualify you for it. What a registered name does is give your transport business an identity that unions, banks, insurers and corporate customers can check when you deal with them.
You Know the Roads; We Handle the Paperwork
Your day is measured in loads and distances: an early start to beat the traffic out of town, a driver on the phone about a breakdown, a customer asking when the delivery will arrive, fuel and tyres to pay for before anything is earned. Registration is a job that can be done without you leaving the driver’s seat for an office. Once it is complete, your business has a name that can go on waybills, invoices, vehicle documents and bank forms.

You’ll Probably Like Working With Us If…
Before you decide, here’s an honest look at who gets the most from our service:
- You’d rather not sort out CAC’s portal while a truck waits to be loaded, a driver calls from the road, or a customer wants a delivery confirmed — the paperwork should not take a vehicle off the road.
- You’re aiming to grow from one vehicle or one route into a small fleet, regular haulage for traders and farm buyers, or contract deliveries for businesses that ask for a registered name.
- You want a recommendation that fits your size — not the biggest package by default.
- You’d rather not chase anyone — one message starts it, and the price you’re quoted is the price you pay.
If that’s the kind of service you want, message us and we’ll begin.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does CAC registration cost for a transport or logistics business in Zamfara State? A Business Name is ₦35,500 all-inclusive, whichever LGA you are in. A Limited Liability Company is ₦65,500 all-inclusive.
What do I get for the ₦35,500? The name search and reservation, the completed CAC filing, CAC’s government fee, your Certificate of Registration (soft copy), a TIN and a CAC Status Report.
Is a Business Name enough for one truck, one bus or a motorcycle dispatch business? For most owner-operators and small fleets, yes. It gives you a legal name for invoices, customer agreements and banking. A company becomes worth considering as the fleet grows or partners join.
Does CAC registration register my vehicles? No. Vehicle registration, plate numbers, roadworthiness and drivers’ licences are handled by the relevant licensing and road-safety authorities.
Does it replace union membership or park dues? No. Those are arrangements with the union or motor park you operate through, and they are separate from CAC.
Can tricycle and motorcycle operators register? Yes. A business running tricycles, motorcycles or a dispatch service can be registered in the same way as any other transport business.
I run a courier or parcel service. Is anything else needed? Courier businesses may need a licence from NIPOST, which is separate from CAC registration.
Is there a Zamfara rule on motorcycle movement I should know about? In 2024 the governor signed an executive order restricting motorcycle movement between 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Orders like this can change, so confirm the current position with the state authorities.
Will CAC registration get me a bus under the NURTW loan scheme? No. That scheme sets its own eligibility, and registration does not qualify you for it or guarantee a place.
Do I need special approval to carry certain goods? It depends on the cargo. Fuel and other regulated goods have their own requirements, which are separate from CAC registration.
Do I need insurance? Vehicles generally need third-party cover, and customers may ask for goods-in-transit cover. Insurance is arranged separately from your registration.
Can I register haulage and car hire under one name? Yes, if you describe the business broadly. Each activity may still have its own permits.
Which LGAs do you cover, and does the price change between them? We cover all 14, from Anka to Zurmi, at the same price, requirements and turnaround.
How long does it take? Usually 5–7 working days once your details and payment are in.
How will I receive my certificate? As a soft copy on WhatsApp. You print it locally whenever you need a hard copy.
Is the TIN included? Yes. The Tax Identification Number is part of what you receive for the ₦35,500.
What is the CAC Status Report? It is a document confirming that your business is active on CAC’s public register, which is useful when a customer, insurer or bank asks for proof.
What if my first-choice name is taken? Send another and we will check it straight away. Having a backup ready saves time.
How many names should I send? Two, ranked by preference, so that if the first is unavailable we can move to the second.
I don’t have an office, just my vehicle. Can I still register? You need a business address in Zamfara State and its LGA for the application. You can use your home address or the place where you park and manage your vehicles.
Can I open a business bank account with the certificate? Yes. The certificate is one of the main documents banks ask for, along with your ID and other details.
Will a certificate help me get customers or contracts? Businesses and organisations often ask for proof of registration before awarding recurring delivery or transport work, so the certificate is useful to have. It does not guarantee any contract.
Do I have to file anything with CAC in later years? Registered businesses file annual returns. It is a small, separate step that we can help with when it falls due.
Can I move from a Business Name to a Limited Liability Company later? Yes, and we can assist with the conversion when you are ready.
When does it make sense to start with a Limited Liability Company? If you have partners, a growing fleet or plans to pursue corporate transport contracts, or you want the business kept apart from your personal assets, the company route is worth looking at from the start.
Does a Business Name protect my personal assets? No. A Business Name does not separate you from the business. A Limited Liability Company does.
Will there be extra charges after I pay? No. The ₦35,500 covers the filing and our fee together, and nothing is added later.
Can I run several vehicles under one registration? Yes. One registration covers the business as a whole. Licensing, plates and permits are handled for each vehicle separately.
